Canadian Piano Quartet

The Canadian Piano Quartet includes two of the music world’s best known married couple piano duos: Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann (The Bergmann Duo) as well as Anne Louise and Edward Turgeon (The Duo Turgeon). Over the years, the duos found themselves meeting up at different festivals in Canada and abroad, each time enjoying a budding friendship and cherished chances to celebrate the world of chamber music for four to eight hands. An important aspect of their combined careers, which has seen the creation and premiere of new works in the multi-piano genre is a rich, growing repertoire of piano quartet arrangements by Marcel Bergmann, who is also talented composer. In 2018, the duos decided to create the Canadian Piano Quartet. The are honored and delighted to be in Detroit, where they will celebrate a fifth anniversary.
